Comprehensive Review Program
Students who do not meet the published quantitative admission criteria (Admissions Index of a
25 and completed core academic requirements) are asked to provide additional information which
highlights a student's specific strengths. Students are asked to complete an insight resume and
one letter of recommendation from an individual that can support the student's academic ability to
move forward in the admission process.
The Insight Resume, http://www.ewu.edu/insightresume,
helps the Office of Admissions better understand the contributions, qualifications, and talents of our
students beyond test scores and high school grades. Students are asked to share their experience(s) in the
following categories: Leadership and group contributions, knowledge in a field/creativity, dealing with
adversity, community service, handling systemic challenges, and goals/task commitment.
The Comprehensive Review Committee will review the application including these additional materials. The committee
will determine if they feel a student has the potential to succeed at Eastern Washington University.
